The Women of the American Revolution Who Helped Save America

The William Tennent House Association cordially invites you to a presentation featuring Sam Davis as General George Washington and Mary Bauer as Martha Washington. The General and his wife will be discussing the “Women of the American Revolution Who Helped Save America” on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church located at 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974.

Washington always said that the Ladies of the Revolution were the backbone and the true champions of America. He will discuss ladies that you may never have heard of that made a huge difference. One of the women dressed up as a man. Her true identity was later discovered and her true patriotism was clear. Another woman named Molly Pitcher was a champion at the Battle of Monmouth. At the end of his presentation, Washington will be talking about the true hero of the revolution, his wife, Martha Washington.


About Sam Davis: After earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Sam taught Science for over 35 years. He is the current President of the Morrisville Historical Society. Sam has had a life-long love for the American Revolution and America herself. He has been a Freemason for over 35 years and is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution as well. It is with great pride that he brings George Washington to life.

About Mary Bauer: Mary has been studying the Washingtons and colonial American history for over two decades and is currently writing a book entitled, “The Secret Diaries of Martha Washington.” She has also created a character called, The Colonial Coquette, which has allowed her to share her love of this period in history through social media channels.

Admission is $10 per person ($12 at the door). The online Registration Form can be completed below.
